Event dedicated to congratulating a veteran of the Great Patriotic War

In the Vykhino-Zhulebino district, an event was held dedicated to congratulating World War II veteran Valentin Nikitovich Inozemtsev on Victory Day.

Valentin Nikitovich is 98 years old. In 1944, at the age of 17, he was drafted into the Armed Forces. He underwent training at a sniper school, where the preparation was considered one of the toughest: daily multi-hour classes, forced marches, and field conditions without days off. Thanks to his excellent training, he was appointed squad commander.

After the war, Valentin Nikitovich graduated from the Shuya Infantry School, served in the troops of the Far Eastern Military District, and studied at the Military-Political Academy named after V.I. Lenin. He completed his service in the position of head of the political department of the test directorate of a missile test range. Later, he worked for more than 10 years at the Civil Defense Headquarters.

The veteran was awarded the medal 'For Victory over Germany', the medal 'For Combat Merit', the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, and many commemorative awards.

During the meeting, guests were shown the connection between eras and the continuity of generations: the legendary Mosin sniper rifles from the time of the Great Patriotic War and the modern appearance of high-precision weapons — the Specter rifle. The event became a symbol of respect for the feat of the generation of victors and the preservation of historical memory.
