About the safety of Secter rifles and others

There have been many different assessments regarding the safety of Specter.
But in such matters, what matters are not assessments, but facts.

A proper evaluation of such cases should be based not on emotional claims, but on a comparison of the nature of the damage and the consequences of the failure event.

In photographs of the imported rifle severe structural destruction was recorded during firing with standard ammunition. The damage is concentrated in the breech area: the case is ruptured, the chamber area is opened up, the barrel section near the chamber is damaged, and the integrity of the front part of the receiver is compromised. The most significant indicator is the separation of the barrel from the rifle, followed by penetration of the plastic window.

This pattern of damage indicates that the failure developed beyond a localized rupture of the case or chamber. As a result, one of the primary structural load-bearing elements was lost. Separation of the barrel from the firearm during a shot is a critical scenario, as a large metal component acquires an independent trajectory and poses a direct threat to the shooter and those nearby.

In the case of Specter, the pattern of damage is different.
The photographs show damage in the bolt assembly area and a ruptured case. The bolt stem is destroyed, and several small fragments were formed. At the same time, the barrel remains in its standard position, the stock shows no signs of destruction, the receiver has maintained its integrity, and the rifle's main components remained assembled.

From a technical standpoint, these represent different levels of destruction and different levels of risk to the shooter and those nearby.

We continuously study such cases, document the nature of the damage, and draw engineering conclusions. This is exactly how design should evolve: not through emotional assessments, but through analysis of real failure scenarios.
