These days in Hanover, Northern Cape province, South Africa, is taking place King of 1 & 2 Miles South Africa 2026— one of the iconic international competitions in the ELR (Extreme Long Range) discipline.

In King of 1 Mile participants engage targets at distances up to 1660 meters, and in King of 2 Miles the final stages extend beyond three kilometers — up to 3272 meters.

These are competitions where it is not enough to simply have an accurate rifle or be a good shooter. At such distances, everything becomes critically important: reading wind and atmosphere, ballistic calculations, system stability, and the ability to make the right decision in a matter of seconds.

The history of the South African King of 1 & 2 Miles spans several years already. Over this time, the tournament has become one of the notable events on the global ELR scene. South Africa in general has a very strong long-range shooting school, and among the current tournament's participants are highly experienced South African shooters and representatives from other countries.

To understand the level of competition, one example is enough: on the firing line is Charl Gous — winner of King of 2 Miles South Africa 2024. And he is far from the only serious competitor.

For our shooters, participation in such a tournament is an opportunity to meet the strongest representatives of the global ELR scene on their home turf and in completely unfamiliar conditions.

And for us, it is also an opportunity to see how Russian shooters and our precision systems perform in direct international competition.

And the first results are already in.

Today the qualification of King of 1 Mile.

🇷🇺  ended — Maxim Kadantsev is FIRST.

And he did it very convincingly.

26,088 points and 12 hits — the best qualification result.

The nearest rivals — the strongest South African shooters — were left behind:

Charl Gous — 25 738
Vernon Harms — 25 495

But this is only the qualification so far.

Ahead lies the continuation of the competition and the final of King of 1 Mile on August 15. And tomorrow the qualification begins for King of 2 Miles where distances will increase to 2300 meters, and in the final — to more than three kilometers.

We fully understand the enormous amount of work that stands behind the opportunity to step up to such a firing line and compete on equal terms with the world's best shooters.
